Well, well, well… to all my friends in Wisconsin, today is your day! June 4 is National Cheese Day! An encyclopedia of cheese will cover the alphabet and broaden your vocabulary. It will undoubtedly contain more varieties of cheese than what’s found at the local grocer. There are a TON!
Did you know? In 2023, Wisconsin produced over 3.5 billion pounds of cheese, according to USAFacts. This makes Wisconsin the leading state in cheese production, and they also produce a wide variety of cheeses, including cheddar, American, mozzarella, and more. California is the second largest cheese-producing state, with an estimated 2.5 billion pounds produced annually.
