May I be the first to wish you a… A very happy National Sticky Bun Day today! February 21st recognizes this delicious pastry that comes rolled up and dripping with a sweet, sugary topping. They’re perfect with a hot cup of coffee in the morning or as an after-dinner sweet! (personally, I will just stick with a big mug of black coffee… hehe)

Sticky Buns, also known as “schnecken,” which means snail, are buns rolled into a sweet spiral resembling its German name. Still considered to be a Pennsylvania specialty, many believed the sticky bun’s origin in the United States began in the 19th century. German settlers brought their baking traditions with them when they began settling in and around Philadelphia. 

So, if you are into very sticky situations, well, today is for you!

Let’s head on over to Ecclesiastes, Chapter 5…  take a closer look at verse 8… 

“If you see the poor oppressed in a district, and justice and rights denied, do not be surprised at such things; for one official is eyed by a higher one, and over them both are others higher still.

Ah, the snapshot of dark leadership… corruption and power (justice and rights denied) and webs of bureaucracy (one official is eyed by a higher one, and over them both are others higher still).

Notice how Solomon clearly states that…
