February 1st! That means tomorrow is the big Groundhog Day, which means Bill Murray’s Groundhog Day marathon! It’s such a great movie that is all about the ruts we get in. It shouldn’t be that way. God never intended it that way, but we easily drift. Our lives are intended to be adventures, and, yet, we get tired, bored, and discontent. It’s another reason why our time together each day is so important. We need the atypical moments each day to jolt our hearts and minds to a better, more purpose-filled reality. The phrases, “We don’t know what we don’t know” and “We’ve never done it that way before” are recipes for every day being “Groundhog Day,” AND… that’s not one of Grandma’s best recipes.
