Yes, it’s Monday again… and we have a chilly middle of the week on tap here in Central Illinois. Highs of 59, 64, and 69s starting on Wednesday going all the way through Saturday. That’s pretty cool for the end of May, but we will take that from an air conditioning perspective for sure. We will also take it from a running perspective. Those temps are perfect for marathon training! In just 12 days we will be in Fargo, ND for our next marathon adventure.

We are winding down our 5th round of the book of Mark. Today is Mark, Chapter 15, and tomorrow we close it out. Today, I want us to take some extra time with verses16-20…

“Then the soldiers led Him away into the courtyard (that is, headquarters) and called the whole company together. They dressed Him in a purple robe, twisted together a crown of thorns, and put it on Him. And they began to salute Him, ‘Hail, King of the Jews!’ They kept hitting Him on the head with a reed and spitting on Him. Getting down on their knees, they were paying Him homage. When they had mocked Him, they stripped Him of the purple robe, put His clothes on Him, and led Him out to crucify Him.”
