Yet another damp, chilly May day in Central Illinois! We are only a couple days away from the Track and Field State Championships and, oh, what a difference a year makes. This year the temps will be in the mid to upper 60s… last year, it was 90 and sunny each day of the event.

Lots of work ahead of me the next few days, as it’s time to preach on part two of my “Journey of an Idea/Dream” on Sunday (focusing on the Book of Jonah). Can’t wait, but, man, there are just not enough hours in the day, friends!

Today, we kick off Round 5 of Ecclesiastes, we begin our 5th lap around Ecclesiastes. In Chapter 1 of Ecclesiastes, let’s go after verse 5…

  1. In past readings I’ve mention the fantastic blend of science and religion by Albert Einstein, so who wouldn’t want to eavesdrop a conversation between Solomon and Einstein (a devout Zionist) in origins of the universe?
