A VERY Happy Monday! This new work week sees us close out the month of April, and we start it off with, yes, National Superhero Day, BUT that’s not what is most important to me.

Every year on April 28th, it’s Global Pay It Forward Day. Today we set aside time to encourage people everywhere to engage in a small act of kindness. It’s a day to respond to someone’s kindness toward you by being kind to someone else.

Has someone ever done something nice for you when you least expected it? Maybe they bought you a small gift. Or they gave you a hug just because. There is a good chance that when someone extended kindness, it made you happy. The act may have made you cry tears of joy. This is what kindness does.

So, let me do my part and say, “THANK YOU!” There are 22 of us on the KafePK journey, and I could not be more thankful for you. It’s because of you I get to do what I do, with the hope that more will get and stay hungry for the Word of God.

The idea to do this was born towards the end of last year, and we shall see if it gets “sticky.” In other words, will it be a long-term path to more and more gaining a hunger to go deeper, with someone coming alongside? I believe it will be, BUT only time will tell.

We have just a few more days left of round 4 here in Ecclesiastes. Today is Chapter 9, so let’s go! verses 2-3 are where we are heading tonight…

“It’s one fate for everybody—righteous and wicked, good people, bad people, the nice and the nasty, worshipers and non-worshipers, committed and uncommitted. I find this outrageous—the worst thing about living on this earth—that everyone’s lumped together in one fate. Is it any wonder that so many people are obsessed with evil? Is it any wonder that people go crazy right and left? Life leads to death. That’s it.”
