Happy Sunday, friends! I hope you had a great weekend! Mine was good, but also a little rough on the St. Jude fundraising side. For those of you that know me well, you know that I have been a St. Jude runner for a very long time. I do believe this will be the 12th or 13th time I will be donning the running shoes on the big St. Jude Runs day, dating way back to 2010 I think. I did miss a couple years in the middle, but it’s been a long stretch.
Anyway, my life is pretty hectic with my full-time gig, coaching, blogging, preaching, running, and other miscellaneous activities, so I started fundraising later this year. Yes, I have some catching up to do for my St. Jude heroes, but’s absolutely worth it! The kids and families I run for every year mean a great deal to me. Bring on the 26.2 miles!!
Let’s roll on with our “Last Time Through Tour” of Mark…It’s time for Chapter 4. Check out verses 35-39…
“On that day, when evening had come, he (Jesus) said to them (His Disciples), ‘Let us go across to the other side.’ And leaving the crowd, they took him with them in the boat, just as he was. And other boats were with him. And a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling. But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, ‘Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?’ And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, ‘Peace! Be still!’”

So interesting PK! I had never seen the parallels between Jonah’s experience and Jesus’ death and resurrection.
This has definitely challenged me to think “outside the box”!

YES! The Journey of an Idea is a FASCINATING concept, and the parallels between Jonah and Jesus even more so!
Reading PK’s post from , yestetday, and my two outside reads for today, the common denominator was Trust in the Lord and His timing (when considered as a whole).
Yesterday many of us recognized the day as Pentecost, but Jesus did not because he Was the Pentecost.
