I hope Thirsty Thursday was kind to you! I hope the coffee was made just right, and you didn’t forget where you left your fresh cup sitting earlier. IF you did, though, I hope somebody reminded you that it was perfectly fine to start over! Today was National Start Over Day a day that’s all about making the decision to accept failure and start over, from scratch. And, yes, that includes making another cup of joe, when the first one failed for some reason.

After all, if at first you don’t succeed, then try, try again…

Today we launch the FINAL Round of the first half of KafePK 2025. It’s time for Mark, Chapter 1. I will be reading in the ESV translation here in Round 6. So, here we go with Chapter 1… look at verses 16-18…

“Passing alongside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. And Jesus said to them, ‘Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.’ And immediately they left their nets and followed him. And going on a little farther, he saw James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, who were in their boat mending the nets. And immediately he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants and followed him.”
