Super Bowl weekend! I used to love this weekend, but now I just kind of like it more than love it. I enjoy the sport, but the commercials aren’t near as good as they used to be and the game has been changing. Also, I’m not a huge KC fan, and I’m definitely not a Philadelphia fan (in any of their sports). The Philly fans are not exactly the most friendly. All that to say, I’ll probably watch… I’ll probably be rooting for KC more than Philly… AND… I’ll try to stay awake. ha! ha!
One new subscriber yesterday, trying out the free 24-hour access option. Hoping to get a couple more this weekend! Without revealing any names I received the most energizing message from one of you yesterday. I, of course, won’t reveal any names, but check this out… “What you do has really changed my life and study habits. I love reading the Bible now! Thank you!!!” THAT, my friends, is exactly why I do this. AND, exactly why I am expectant that more will join. Reading the Bible is challenging, BUT just like our page says about the young man that was riding the scriptures by the side of the road… a new reader… “Do you understand what you are reading?” Philip asked. “How can I,” he said, “unless someone explains it to me?” That’s what we do! We wrestle God’s Word together… coming alongside to change lives and make the Bible a daily high point.
We’re moving on to Mark, Chapter 8, today … Take a closer look at verses 11-12… “The Pharisees came and began to question Jesus. To test him, they asked him for a sign from heaven. He sighed deeply and said, “Why does this generation ask for a sign? Truly I tell you, no sign will be given to it.”
