It’s Saturday! A very Happy Black Bear Day to one and all! Each year on the first Saturday in June, we celebrate this day to recognize the most commonly found bear in North America. Also known as the American black bear, the Black Bear is a magnificent animal.

Black bears are found throughout much of California, with higher densities in the North Coast and Cascade regions, as well as the Sierra Nevada… in the Appalachian Mountains and New England…. in parts of the northern Midwest and in states like Ohio and northern parts of Illinois… in northern Mexico, particularly in the states of Sonora, Chihuahua, and Coahuila… and in every province and territory in Canada.

Despite their name, black bears come in shades of cinnamon, blue/black, blue/grey and in rare instances, white.

We continue our “Last Time Through Tour” of Mark…It’s time for Chapter 3. Check out verses 20-21; 31-35…

“Then he (Jesus) went home, and the crowd gathered again, so that they could not even eat. And when his family heard it, they went out to seize him, for they were saying, ‘He is out of his mind’ … And his mother and his brothers came, and standing outside they sent to him and called him. And a crowd was sitting around him, and they said to him, ‘Your mother and your brothers are outside, seeking you.’ And he answered them, ‘Who are my mother and my brothers?’ And looking about at those who sat around him, he said, ‘Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of God, he is my brother and sister and mother.’”

SUCH an interesting section of scripture!
